Marcell D'Avis - Head of customer satisfaction - 1&1 Internet AG
09.30 - 11.15 A.M. Panel 1 - Future scenarios in visual communications
viscom tec.10 is occupied with four current trends:
- Newspapers, magazines, books, DVD, TV, radio and internet will merge. New mobile technology, display and touch technology in tablets (iPad, Kindle and co) are changing the use of home media in a lasting way.
- Europe is getting older. This has been known for a long time and it is now becoming reality. How can visual communication react sensibly to these challenges? How can technology help to create customer-orientated experiences?
- What are the youth up to? A comprehensive look at the social trends they will be influencing in future. How and where do they buy, where do they obtain information, how and when will they make their decisions?
- Gaming. Is it all just a game? How video games influence visual perception.
Find the answers from experts and gain valuable knowledge for your communications strategy.
11.15 - 11.35 A.M. Networking break
11.35 - 12.50 A.M. Panel 2: Visual Communication Out of Home. Mobile, Digital, Social
Thousands of visual impressions accompany us on our way towards making a decision. Posters, city lights and shop windows send static messages to us all. Digital signage (DOOH) provides the opportunity to focus moving messages on certain target groups. Applications on mobile devices send individual messages to their users. All media taken together form the basis of an intelligent approach to individual and mutual experiences with visual communications.
Some of the questions examined in this panel: How does out-of-home advertising work in times of increasing restrictions? What part does shopping architecture play in marketing communication? Mobile web + Location-based services = New social communication?
12.50 - 14.15 A.M. Lunch break
14.15 - 15.45 P.M. Panel 3 - Service vs. Self or It is better to give than to receive!
Today's consumers are powerful. Equipped with technology that fulfils their need for information and gives them bargaining power. And each one of them is an individual with their own rules and feelings. That gives them a large degree of unpredictability. Buying experiences with personal benefit, emotionality, a portion of humour and excellent service are very attractive to customers. These experiences are remembered and become an indispensable component of a successful sales strategy.
How can visual communications support these processes, design them in a benefit-orientated way and generate increased sales?
16.00 - 17.30 P.M. Panel 4 - Touch it, feel it, get it: Technology for visual communications
Whether single, dual or multi-touch – finger touch calls up data and triggers actions. This makes using complex systems more intuitive. Virtual information combines with real objects. Online shoppers appreciate these possibilities and also use them more and more on mobile devices – anytime, anywhere. 3D in games and films give an impression of being actively involved rather than merely being an observer. How can the bridge to the real world of shopping and entertainment be built? How can “tangible” experiences be realized with the aid of innovative materials?
viscom tec.10 will consider these questions from the most varied of angles.
